Embodying Greater Meaning and Deeper Purpose - with Dylan Newcomb

Mind-Body Surfing on the Waves of Involution and Evolution

Wednesday, March 2nd, 2011 | 7:00–9:00PM

Holiday Inn Express, 2889 East Hastings St., Vancouver, BC
(a special night scheduled for the Vancouver Integral community - Don't Miss This!)

By combining an embodied approach to Spiral Dynamics and the Yin-Yang patterns of the I Ching though UZAZU, this 2-hour mini-workshop will give you a direct experience in your full body-mind-spirit of each of the key phases in of the Involutionary and Evolutionary cycles. By feeling how each of these two main currents of time-space move through your full being you will get an authentic felt sense of which of those phases are more and less easy and challenging for you and learn how to dynamically access the right balance of meaning and purpose in your being from moment to moment. This is a fantastic step along the path to becoming more fully available to the whole and to leading the life you are called and inspired to live.

Whether you already know some UZAZU, or have never experienced it, this 2-hour mini-workshop will be a valuable investment for you body-mind-spirit, leaving you refreshed and inspired on all levels!

We sacrifice SO MUCH ENERGY and create SO MUCH STRESS by not being clear and in full alignment with what our life is most deeply wanting to be about, moment to moment - both for our self, and for the world around us.  Without understanding and feeling connected to the greater meaning of the whole of which we are a part, it’s hard to find a sense of purpose that deeply rewards us. Without a passionate sense of purpose that drives how we play our part in the greater whole, meaning often stays something aloof and abstract.

Mastering the phases of evolution and involution is just that - it's about being in dynamic harmony the basic patterns and cycles that life takes on through time so that each part of our life can play it's part and function as fully as it was meant to. As a result, we naturally thrive, experiencing love, abundance, generosity and empowerment.

Dylan Newcomb is a founding member of the Danslab Institute for movement research in The Hague, and the inventor of UZAZU approach to body-mind development. He trained at the Juilliard School in both dance and music composition, after which he danced for eight seasons with the Netherlands Dance Theater. His discovery and development of UZAZU, through over 10 years of research, is opening the door for many to understand the deeper connection between leading models such as the I-Ching, Ken Wilber’s Four Quadrants, Spiral Dynamics, and the MBTI—not just in the mind, but directly through the body.
